I love the 80′s
How does life move so quickly? It seems the fashion industry is reliving the 80’s and wow I thought the styles would never be worn in my lifetime, once again I was wrong. Last year I bought a pair of leg wormers for my kids and this season I got them stretch pants. I am told they are not called stretch pants any longer they are jaegens a turn for jeans and leggings. I wish the big curly hair with the muffin on top would come back into style because I could totally rock the big hair. The smell of Aqua Netcan take me back to my sister and me getting ready for school. Do you remember the technique? Hold the hair up with the brush; spray and then hair dry it. No matter how many times I cleaned the bathroom there would always be a thick film of hairspray all over. Ahh those were the days.
I remember a store in the mall called Saturdays they had every color of jean with zippers oh and sparkles. And to top off the out fits they had scrunches which I still secretly wear from time to time to clean the house. Good thing they don’t make banana clips anymore or I might be tempted to relive that as well.
The thing I most miss about the 80’s wasn’t the hair, clothing or music or even my white swatch watch it was the way it felt not to have bills or work. My sister, brother, and cousins were my best friend’s life was simple and fun. Wish I had a time machine and a week of vacation a world full of no cell phones and computers is just what I need.
